Love to Go… Wedding Favors With Flair Wedding favors have a heritage dating back to the early Roman dynasty. It's a fun tradition shared by many cultures and in American society, it has become an integral part of traditional wedding etiquette. So, just what is a wedding favor? It's a thoughtful memento presented to wedding guests from the wedding couple, in appreciation for sharing their special wedding day. Traditionally almonds, chocolates, cookies, as well as a host of sweets, have been given throughout the years. But, today's couples are opting for a more personalized, creative direction with their favors. Today, favors range from small picture frames, custom labels on wine bottles, custom flower seed packets, candy bars sporting a personalized wrapper, small cake slice shaped boxes, to snow globes. The list is endless since favors can be just about anything that the bride and groom dream a special memento for their guests.

Why not make your wedding a time for reaching out to others in need, a time for giving and sharing. It is so easy to get lost in one’s own needs (style of dress, food selections, honeymoon plans, etc…) that finding ways to think of others can actually make your wedding planning less stressful! My fiancé, Haym, and I, have come across several ideas that we like. We would like to share them with all of you.
For those couples who have everything, ask your guests to donate to one (or several) of your or their favorite charities. there is a Wedding Registry, replete with an on line form and search engine to help even the most internet-challenged decide which charities to use. The site has over 850,000 charities from which to choose! You can even submit a picture, bio of yourself and your groom, and any details about the wedding you wish to provide. When guests make donations, your name is mentioned.

Well you can, and they can be beautiful and unique with your own personal touch. I notice that a lot of brides are trying to find ideas to make their own original wedding favors. I know that you want something that your guests will love that gets them into the joy of the day!
Lets start with some important tips for getting started with your search for the perfect favor to make. First you have to start early. I know that wedding planning usually begins about 18 months before the wedding. Do not leave your wedding favor as a last minute detail. Think about what you want to make and then shop around for the best prices. You can find the best prices at craft stores after holidays like Valentine's Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. Also, you can go to your local party stores, and find materials that you can use for your favors. They usually have very good sales after the holidays. Always be on the lookout for the materials you need because you might just find them for next to nothing at any store.
